Bipartisan Homes Act Announced Today in the US House of Representatives

WELCH, MCKINLEY ANNOUNCE ENERGY-EFFICIENCY BILL. Reps. Peter Welch, D-Vt., and David McKinley, R-W.Va., today will unveil their bipartisan energy-efficiency bill, joined by a number of stakeholder groups. The “Home Owner Managing Energy Savings Act of 2012” focuses on efficiency savings and retrofit rebates for homeowners.

On top of the bipartisan effort, the release of the bill today will feature a rare appearance of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Natural Resources Defense Council on the same stage and behind the same bill. Others slated to attend include Efficiency First, the Alliance to Save Energy, the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association, and the Residential Energy Services Network.
